I have been blessed to work with some tremendously talented artists, who I recommend if you are looking for someone to illustrate your work.
Caitlin Hogan is an artist, and illustration student living in Melbourne. She is interested in writing and storytelling, and has always liked art that looks like something more is happening behind the scenes, as though the artwork is one scene in a story.
She mainly works in ink and watercolour, but is working to expand her skills to work with a range of different mediums, especially digital. She creates narrative driven work and is predominately interested in drawing figures and characters, ranging from detailed and semi-realistic to simplified and slightly cartoony.
Her artworks sometimes portray a sense of sadness and regret; they are creepy or tragic thematically, but beautiful and elegant visually. She is inspired by the re-telling of fairy tales and myths, and fantasy or historical settings, but she also aims to depict well developed characters with aspirations and insecurities. She is interested in the character’s internal world and what they are thinking.
Influenced by early 20th century illustration, art nouveau, and the current resurgence of this style, she likes to incorporate stylized lines and detailed decoration to her artworks. She is also influenced by digital art, comics, and animation both western and eastern.
Bojan was born in Croatia. He lives in Rijeka, a city on the beautiful coast of the Adriatic sea. Bojan has been drawing since he was a child, always interested in art in all forms, he established himself as a freelance illustrator. He has interests in many artistic fields, from cartooning and comic books to fine art and digital painting. He is a published author for several children`s books, E-book illustrations, classic book illustrations, book cover illustrations etc and he continues to work on giving life to a wide variety of artistic ideas.
Nat Turner is an artist and illustrator who loves to paint traditionally as well as in more modern media, including digital. He likes to explore different styles. Nat says that he enjoys the challenge of interpreting ideas in his illustration work. “I love to try to capture people’s imagination and transform it into visible images.” He hopes that you enjoy his images as much as he enjoys creating them.
If you are looking for a fantastic editor for your work, I recommend
Gail Nicholson lives in the UK and currently has her hands full with First World Saga and a boisterous small child. However, she is hoping to expand her editing skills into a full-time career and will be very interested to hear from any other authors looking for high quality but low priced editing. She is keen to exploit the current market gap in which industry editors aren’t affordable for self-publishing, but a professional edit is just as important to the finished work.
